The home sleep test (HST) is a small device worn for a 1 to 3 night period in your own home. This device is used in the initial diagnosis process for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Central Sleep Apnea. The portability of a Home Sleep Test can be very beneficial for patients who work atypical shifts, or are simply unable to be away from home overnight. These units can also assist in reducing scheduling delays, expediting the results and treatment. After treatment has begun, HSTs can be used to measure how well your body is responding to treatment.
